Dealing with the loss of a loved one can be difficult. Therefore, those in the Spirit world look for ways to communicate with us. They send us signs. We simply need to take the time to notice. Here are seven signs from departed loved ones:
1. Sweet Dreams
Dreams are powerful tools that our loved ones can use to communicate with us. Our conscious minds take a break during sleep, and our subconscious minds become more accessible to the Spirit World. Our loved ones may send a message through our dreams in the form of visitation. Much more colorfully vivid and life-like than regular dreams, visitations can be so powerful that you awaken and think that you’ve been in contact with your loved one, which is very much the case.
2. What’s That Smell?
Another sign that your loved ones may use to alert you of their presence is through fragrance. Whether it’s the waft of your grandmother’s perfume, her homemade apple pie, or her favorite flowers, scents are a lovely reminder that our loved ones are still around.
3. Butterflies all Around
Signs may also come from the Spirit World through the natural world. People who have just lost a loved one commonly see butterflies, ladybugs, dragonflies, cardinals, or bluebirds.
After my father transitioned, I would see many butterflies and dragonflies day after day. I found it interesting was that these “messengers” would behave in strange and unusual ways around me. They would gently dance as if under a spell. Through these tiny creatures, I received the message that life continues even though the form may change.
4. Unusual Electrical Activity
Flickering lights, a beeping smoke detector sounding a false alarm, and toys that turn on by themselves are things you may have seen in scary movies. However, these can also be signs from the other side. Those who have passed can often use their energies to manipulate electrical or battery-operated objects.
5. Hello?
Believe it or not, the telephone is also a means of communication from the Spirit World. Some people have reported receiving a phone call from an unknown number, only to hear static when they answer the phone.
Thirty minutes before my father’s body was discovered, I received a phone call with a Mississippi area code from an unknown number. Since I was in the middle of a meeting, I decided not to answer. Two hours later, I received the news that my father had passed away. Being slightly curious about who had tried to contact me earlier, I returned the phone call from the unknown number. I was shocked to hear a recording from the operator saying that this number was not in service. I do not doubt that this was a call from Heaven.
6. Messages Through Music as Signs
Musical lyrics can be a powerful way of receiving messages. You may notice that song lyrics pop into your mind out of nowhere. Or maybe you turn on the radio at the exact moment when a song is playing that has a message from your loved one to you.
7. Why is the Dog Barking?
Dogs and cats have a heightened sense of hearing, and sometimes they can perceive things that humans cannot see. So pay attention if you find your dog is looking into an empty corner and wagging its tail happily. If your loved one was an animal lover, your pet may see them and then react to their presence.
These seven signs from departed loved ones demonstrate that life never ends. Our Souls are eternal. Your loved ones will do their best to convey this message to you. Even though they are not physically present with you, they are very much alive, and their presence lives on.
